Sound field system
≥Dolby Digital and DTS are digital encoding
systems used on DVD to carry surround sound.
Both were originally developed for use in
Dolby Digital and
cinemas.
DTS
≥This unit automatically recognizes and decodes
these systems.
Dolby Pro Logic is a decoding system that was
developed to get a better sense of presence from
sources encoded with Dolby Surround. The
Dolby Pro Logic
feeling of position has been improved by the
addition of a separate center speaker channel.
≥This mode adds surround effects to stereo
sources.
MUSIC
≥You can adjust the volume of the surround
speakers to get the best surround effect.
Super
≥This mode adds surround effects to movie
Surround
software that hasn't been recorded with the
MOVIE
above systems.
≥You can adjust the volume of the surround
speakers to get the best surround effect.
Use Sound Field Control effects to change quality
Sound Field Control
and add reverberation.
≥You cannot use Dolby Pro Logic, Super Surround, Center Focus, or adjust subwoofer level if you have connected headphones. ("ERROR"
appears on the display.)
≥You may experience a reduction in sound quality when these sound field systems are used with some sources. If this occurs, turn the sound
field system off.

Press and hold [SHIFT]r[C.S.M].

∫ Recall the settings
The unit recalls the settings when you play the disc again.
≥The settings are replaced if you change them.
≥When you store settings for a 31st disc, the earliest settings
disappear.
≥Press [SHIFT]i[C.S.M] while "CSM" is lit and the settings return to
those that were on before the settings are recalled.
≥Press [SHIFT]i[C.S.M] while "CSM" is out and you are playing a
disc for which you stored settings and those settings are recalled.
