Recording with an External Microphone

Sound can be recorded by connecting an external microphone to the microphone/earphone
jack (
) of the voice recorder.

Start recording.

TIP
• You can use a plug-in power
compatible microphone.
• See "Accessories (optional)" for
about usable external microphones

To microphone/
earphone jack
NOTE
• Set [Select Jack] to [Microphone]
when it is set to [Earphone] or when
the connected external microphone
cannot be detected properly even if
[Auto] is selected (☞ P.48).
• When an external monaural
microphone is connected and
recording is performed, sound is
recorded only on the L channel if you
set [Rec Mode] to stereo (☞ P.40).
• When an external stereo microphone is
connected and recording is performed,
sound from only the L channel
microphone is recorded if you set [Rec
Mode] to monaural (☞ P.40).
