    Datalogic grants to End User, a personal, non-exclusive, non-transfer- able, non sub licensable, revocable, limited license to use the Soft- ware, solely on the Datalogic Product in which it is embedded or for which it is intended for use, in machine-readable form only, solely for End User's internal business purposes.

    About the Scanner PM96XX 4-key and 16-key Models The PM96XX series offers two display options: 4 configu- rable keys and a full 16-key keyboard. This increases inter- action between the host and the user allowing a two-way exchange of information for more reliable and effective communications.

    Using the PowerScan™ PM96XX USING THE POWERSCAN™ PM96XX The PowerScan™ PM96XX normally functions by capturing and decoding codes. Turn on the scanner by pressing the trigger for 2 seconds. When the scanner starts up, it vibrates. After the vibration, the trigger can be released and the startup phase ends.

    Use only the authorized power supplies, battery pack, chargers, and docks supplied by your Datalogic reseller. The use of any other power supplies can damage the device and void your warranty. Do not disassemble or modify the battery. The battery contains safety and protection devices, which, if damaged, may cause the battery to generate heat, explode or ignite.
  • Page 38 Battery Safety As with other types of batteries, Lithium-Ion (LI) batteries will lose capacity over time. Capacity deterioration is noticeable after one year of service whether the battery is in use or not. It is difficult to precisely predict the finite life of a LI battery, but cell manufacturers rate them at 500 charge cycles.
