Display module

Display module
The display in RM-414 is an active TFT QVGA display that supports up to 16.777.216 colors (320x240 pixels).
The interconnection between the LCD module and the engine is implemented with a 24-pin board-to-board
connector.

Keyboard

The keyboard is split into two parts. Numeric keys are located on the bottom side of the main PWB. 5-way
navigation, send, end and soft keys are located on a flexible PWB in the upper block. All keys are connected
to same keymatrix made up by the RAPIDO genios.

Backlight and illumination

There is backlight illuminating the display.
The lower/numeric keyboard is top lit by 2 LEDs, and the top keyboard is also lit by 2.
There is one driver for the display, and another for all keys.

Ambient light sensor (ALS)

The Ambient Light Sensor is used to control display and keyboard brightness with different light scenarios.
This phone is using Greymon surface mountable ALS and it's located in the topflex. ALS is controlled by I2C.
ALS has two channels. Channel 0 is for visible light and Channel 1 is IR light only. Those channels are calibrated
in production but they can be calibrated also using Phoenix.
ALS consists of the following parts
• A lightguide (Part of A-cover)
• ALS component (N2502)
• Decoupling capacitor
