ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION
Refer to the nameplate on the downdraft. Verify ELECTRICAL SERVICE POWER. Voltage and phase must
match the nameplate specifications, and available electrical service amperage must meet or exceed the listed
amperage. Refer to specifications listed on the name plate.
The ground lug of this ventilator must be connected to a suitable building ground.
Open the back panel to access the downdraft terminal block. Wire the electrical power to the terminal block
per the wiring diagram.
NOTE: It is the responsibility of the electrical contractor to provide suitable wiring, flexible or rigid conduit,
and an appropriate strain relief.
Electrical Connection
NOTE: The downdraft requires a single phase (1ph), 208 - 240 volt, 30 amp supply. When connecting line
voltage to the unit's terminal block, use a minimum of #10 gage copper wire only, suitable for 194°F (90°C)
ambient temperature.
Appliance Connections
All downdraft induction units are required to be interlocked with the downdraft cut-off circuit/power switch.
These connections provide an automatic shutdown of the induction units when the downdraft is OFF, or in the
event of a malfunction.
