DO NOT attempt to wash the HEPA / CHARCOAL filter pack or pre-filter. Water absorption will render the filter unusable. Use of a wet or clogged filter will cause the ventilator system to shut down. Use only new, clean Wells® Authorized Service Parts. Keep spare filter packs on hand to avoid disruptions.
GENERAL INSTALLATION INFORMATION The unit is shipped ready to be hardwired to an electrical box specified for its voltage and amp draw. If improper electrical supply can not be determined through troubleshooting, contact a qualified electrician prior to using the unit. Improper electrical installation can void the warranty. Should you require assistance, contact your local authorized service agent for any service or required maintenance.
OPERATION DO NOT USE COARSE SPONGES/PADS CERTAIN SURFACES ARE EXTREMELY HOT WHICH WILL SCRATCH THE FINISH. DURING OPERATION AND CARE SHOULD BE TAKEN WHILE USING THIS UNIT. INLET COVER INLET FILTER MECHANICAL INSTALLATION The following is a step-by-step procedure for installation of the Recirculating Hoods. Un-crate the downdraft unit, being very careful REAR KICK PLATE not to dent or scratch the outer surface. NOTE: Report any damage to the delivering freight carrier and file a claim if appropriate.

ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION Refer to the nameplate on the downdraft. Verify ELECTRICAL SERVICE POWER. Voltage and phase must match the nameplate specifications, and available electrical service amperage must meet or exceed the listed amperage. Refer to specifications listed on the name plate. The ground lug of this ventilator must be connected to a suitable building ground.

Control Panel NOTE: Cooking appliances must be operated in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. During normal operation, the illuminated power switch will be the only light on the control panel that will be ON. If the CHECK FILTERS light illuminates, check BAFFLE FILTERS, PREFILTERS, and the HEPA AIR FILTERS for proper installation.
