Slow-motion play

While paused
Press [6] or [5].
Press and hold [D] or [E] on the main unit.
[Note]
≥The speed increases up to 5 steps.
≥Press [1] (PLAY) to restart play.
≥Backward ([6] [D]) does not work with Video CDs.
≥The unit will pause if slow-motion play is continued for 5 minutes.

Frame-by-frame viewing

While paused
Press [2;] or [;1].
[Note]
≥Each press shows the next frame.
≥Press [1] (PLAY) to restart play.
≥Cursor buttons [2, 1] are also effective while paused for frame-
by-frame viewing.
≥Backward ([2;]) does not work with Video CDs.
Fast forward and rewind—SEARCH

During play
Press [6] or [5].
≥Press and hold [D] or [E] on the main unit.

≥The speed increases up to 5 steps.
≥Press [1] (PLAY) to restart play.
≥Audio is heard only while using first level fast forward [other than
DVD-Audio (excluding moving picture parts), CD, MP3]. You can
turn this audio off if you want to ( page 52, PLAY k1.3 & Audio
during Search).

can be specified while the screen saver is

– Playing bonus groups [DVD-A]
Some discs contain bonus groups. If a password screen
appears after selecting a group, enter the password with the
numbered buttons and press [ENTER]. Refer also to the disc's
jacket.
