Gas valve adjustment

AiM boilers can be powered either with gas natural (G20) and
with LPG (G30 / G31). The temperature maximum that the
gas valve can withstand to function correctly it is 60 ° C.
In case of power failure, or later activation of security systems
that operate at different levels in the boiler, the gas valve will
close at most afterwards 1 second.
The gas valve is already adjusted according to the settings
of factory. It is recommended not to change the setting of the
valve: only authorized personnel can carry it out.
The adjustment of the gas valve involves the calibration of the
maximum and minimum. The screws to be used for calibration
there are two. In the aiM and aiM85 one is located on the
Venturi tube and one on the gas valve, in the aiM115-150 both
screws yes found on the gas valve.
In aiM65 and aiM85 to perform maximum calibration you
have to use the screw located on the Venturi tube and turn
it clockwise to reduce the maximum, counterclockwise to
increase it. To calibrate the minimum you have to turn the
screw on the gas valve, clockwise to reduce the minimum,
clockwise counterclockwise to increase it.

Gas conversion

AiM boilers are factory set to work with natural gas (G20).
To use LPG (G30 / G31) as a fuel the single boiler or boiler
cascade needs to be converted.
ATTENTION: only Rinnai Authorized Service Technician
Rinnai can perform gas conversion.
The conversion procedure includes:
1.
close the gas shut-off valve and disconnect the power
supply of the boiler;
2.
remove the front panel of the boiler;
3.
replace the gas nozzle in the boiler with that new; the
position of the nozzle is indicated in the following figures
and its dimensions are shown in table a flank;

In the aiM 115 and in the aiM 150 to be able to carry out
the calibration of the minimum it is necessary to remove
the control cap of the valve and turn the screw clockwise
to increase the minimum, counterclockwise to reduce it. To
carry out to calibrate the maximum it is necessary to turn
the screw located at the top of the gas valve, clockwise to
increase the maximum, counterclockwise to reduce it.
4.
power up the boiler electrically and load the parameters
conversion to LPG on the boiler using the key Parameters:
insert the Parameters Key in the appropriate input on the
boiler control panel;
from the Commissioning menu select Function
Maintenance and then parameter 7252 (Pstick command);
set parameter 7252 to "Read from Key". This message will
remain visible on the display until the end of the reading
operation;
once the parameters have been transferred, the PCB LMS
14 must be reset.
