4. Access authority in the function for service
When you access the page of the function for service, you are asked to enter the user name and password.
Type as follows.
. User name: service
. Password: (model name in half-width lowercase characters)
Example) vpl-fh65, vpl-f635h, etc.

When moving from the service mode to other page and entering the service mode again, close the Web
browser once, and then start the browser again.

1. Outline
In this unit, the firmware update can be performed by uploading the file via the Web browser.

. The network update can be performed only when this unit is in the stand by state.
When using IE, the following setting is required.
- Select the internet option. → Security tab → Select the network zone.
- Click the custom level.
- Scroll down to "Include the path of local directory when uploading the file to the server".
- Set to "Disable".
. During the update, do not turn on the power of this unit using the various protocols such as remote
control, key of main unit, RS-232C and network.
. "Manual" is recommended for the IP setting.
- It is not recommended to use "Manual" under the DHCP environment in which the IP address may be
changed.
