15. MIC IN
This tests audio signals input from MIC IN for the GUITAR/MIC jack.

1.
Set the GUITAR/MIC switch to MIC.
2.
Connect the UA-1G connected to the computer to the GUITAR/MIC jack
(MONO).
* If the UA-1G is not available, input the following signals to the GUITAR/MIC
jack (MONO).
1-kHz sine wave at 20 mVpp
3.
Play back the MI073_02_MIC.wav on the computer.
4.
Connect the oscilloscope to the MAIN OUTPUT (BALANCE) jack and
display the waveform.
MAIN OUTPUT L (Tip): 1-kHz ±50 Hz sine wave at 8.5 ±3.0 Vpp
MAIN OUTPUT R (Tip): 1-kHz ±50 Hz sine wave at 8.5 ±3.0 Vpp
If no problems are found, press
16. GUITAR IN
This tests audio signals input from GUITAR IN for the GUITAR/MIC jack.

* If the UA-1G is not available, input the following signals to the GUITAR/MIC
jack.
1-kHz sine wave at 500 mVpp

Set the GUITAR/MIC switch to GUITAR (Hi-Z).
2.
Play back the MI073_03_GTR.wav on the computer.
3.
Connect the oscilloscope to the MAIN OUTPUT (BALANCE) jack and
display the waveform.
MAIN OUTPUT L (Tip): 1-kHz ±50 Hz sine wave at 8.5 ±3.0 Vpp
MAIN OUTPUT R (Tip): 1-kHz ±50 Hz sine wave at 8.5 ±3.0 Vpp
4.
If no problems are found, detach the UA-1G from the MIC/GUITAR jack.
Execution automatically advances to the next test item.

17. USB AUDIO
This verifies the operation of the USB function jack.

1.
Using the USB cable, connect the unit to the computer.
2.
Play back the MI073_04_USB.wav on the computer.
3.
Adjust the volume level of the playback tool to maximum.
4.
Connect the oscilloscope to the MAIN OUTPUT jack and display the
waveform.
MAIN OUTPUT L (Tip): 1-kHz ±50 Hz sine wave at 8.5 ±2.0 Vpp
MAIN OUTPUT R (Tip): 2-kHz ±50 Hz sine wave at 8.5 ±2.0 Vpp
5.
Detach the USB cable.
If no problem is found, press
18. D-BEAM ADJUST
This adjusts the D BEAM controller.

Set the sensitivity for the position at 5 cm above the D BEAM controller.
1.
When Low (5cm) appears on the LCD screen, cover the D BEAM
controller with your hand at a distance of 5 centimeters and press
ENTER.
* If adjustment is not within the correct range, the message RangeErr appears
and execution does not advance to the next.

Next, set the sensitivity for the position at 40 cm above the D BEAM
controller.
2.
When Hi (40cm) appears on the LCD screen, cover the D BEAM
controller with your hand at a distance of 40 centimeters and press
ENTER.
* If adjustment is not within the correct range, the message RangeErr appears
and execution does not advance to the next.
When adjustment ends, execution automatically advances to the next test
item.
