The distance between each range ring is shown in NM in the top left corner next

to the radar scale.
Check the range ring interval and judge the distance of the echo from the inner

edge of the nearest ring.
Note: There are three ways to measure the range to a radar target: by the
range rings, by the cursor, and by the VRM (Variable Range Marker).
To turn the range rings on, do the following:

a. If not displayed, press the [HIDE/SHOW] key to show the radar soft keys.
b. Press the RADAR DISPLAY soft key.
c. Press the RINGS soft key to turn the rings on and select desired brilliance.
The settings are Low, Medium, High, Off.
Press the RETURN soft key to finish
