Proper system setup, startup, and shutdown
procedures are critical to electrical equipment
reliability. The following procedures ensure
steady voltage. Failure to follow these
procedures will cause voltage fluctuations that
can damage electrical equipment.
1. Follow the
Pressure Relief Procedure, page
32.
2. Check the fluid inlet filter screens.
Before daily startup, ensure that the
fluid inlet screens are clean. See
Flush Inlet Strainer Screen, page
XA or XB

3. Check the ISO Lubrication Reservoir (TS).
Check level and condition of ISO lube daily.

4. Use A and B Drum Level Sticks (24M174) to
measure the material level in each drum. If
desired, the level can be entered and tracked
with the ADM.
5. Check the generator fuel level.

Running out of fuel will cause voltage
fluctuations that can damage electrical
equipment. Do not run out of fuel.
6. Confirm the system main power switch (MP)
is OFF before starting generator.
7. Ensure the main breaker on the generator is
in the OFF position.
8. Start the generator. Allow the generator to
reach full operating temperature.
9. Turn the generator main breaker to the ON
position.
10. Turn the system main power switch (MP) ON.
