Attention New Spa Owner!
Congratulations on the purchase of your new Sundance ® 680 Series spa! The
following is a list of automated functions and maintenance recommendations
for your new spa. Automated functions have been listed below in an attempt to
suppress any operational concerns you may have during startup and the first 24
hours of ownership! Maintenance recommendations are listed in an attempt to
stress their importance in protecting your new spa.
Automated Operations
Approximately two minutes after power is applied to the spa, the first filtration/heating
cycle turns on pump 1. With two pump models, an automatic five minute "blow-out"
function also activates pump 2 for a period of five minutes to flush all lines. Then, after
five minutes, pump 2 turns off and pump 1 continues to operate for the duration of the
cycle.
Note: This function only occurs during the first filtration/heating cycle each day.
Maintain Healthy Spa Water
Always maintain your spa's water chemistry within the following parameters:
pH
Free chlorine
Free Bromine
Total Alkalinity
Calcium Hardness
IMPORTANT: CLEARRAY® Water Purification System is factory installed. If the
CLEARRAY® system is altered or is not operating efficiently then follow the "without
CLEARRAY®" water chemistry parameters as defined by the Association of Pool
and Spa Professionals. CLEARRAY® requires an annual bulb replacement to
properly sanitize your water.

Required Filter Maintenance

unsurpassed water quality! To ensure maximum water quality at all times, you
should clean and reuse both filter cartridges every month or as needed. See page

the spa's water every 3 months. The frequency depends on a number of variables
including frequency of use, number of users, and attention paid to water quality
maintenance. You will know it is time for a change when you cannot control sudsing
and/or you can no longer get the normal feel or sparkle to the water, even though
the key water balance measurements are all within the proper parameters. See
pages 39-40 for additional information.
