Problem

Printer will not feed labels.
Press Print but nothing feeds out

Cause
The leading edge of the label roll
is uneven or torn (not a straight
edge).
Locking lever not engaged.
Locking lever not engaged.
Damaged label cartridge.
Exit chute jammed.
Dirty platen roller
No cartridge or non-Brady brand
cartridge installed.
Damaged circuit board on
label/media roll.
Damaged contacts in receiver
slot of lower printer base.
Some symbols cannot print at
6 pt font.
Locking lever not engaged.
Cartridge is empty.
Label is jammed.
Corrective Action
Use a pair of scissors to cut a straight
leading edge on the label roll.
Verify the locking lever is in the correct
position.
Verify the locking lever is in the correct
position.
Insert a different label cartridge.
Verify exit chute is not blocked
Make sure the last cut label has been
removed from the label tray.
Clean the platen roller. (See
for cleaning information.)
Verify that Brady media cartridge
installed.
• Replace label/media roll.
• Press [CLEAR/ESC] key to clear error
Contact Technical Support.
Change the font size to 9 pt or larger.
Verify the locking lever is in the correct
position.
Insert new cartridge.
Remove cartridge, cut off damaged
portion, reinsert cartridge.
