brushes as a set.
Brush length:
10 mm (0.39 in)
Wear limit:
3.5 mm (0.14 in)
Out of specification → Replace the
brush springs as a set.
Brush spring force:
5.5 ~ 8.3 N
(550 ~ 830 gf, 12.1 ~ 18.3 lb)
Defects → Replace the starter motor.
Insulation resistance:
More than 1 MΩ at 20 °C (68 °F)
Dirt → Clean it with #600 grit sandpa-
per.
Commutator diameter:
22 mm (0.87 in)
Wear limit:
21 mm (0.83 in)
Out of specification → Replace the
starter motor.
