Installation sequence

Fitting the thermometer sensors and cylinder temperature sensors

1. Guide the thermometer sensors (if supplied)
through the cover strip and insert the thermome-
ters.
2. Guide the upper thermometer sensor through the
lifting eye, insert it into the clamping bracket as far
as it will go and tighten the wing nut.
Additional thermometer sensors (if supplied) that
are not intended for clamping system
secured in the clamping brackets on the cylinder
jacket and cylinder base.
Note
The cover strip is held in its vertical position by the
straight capillaries of the upper thermometer sen-
sor. This is necessary for the rest of the installa-
tion.

3. Release the nuts.
4. Push the clamping system onto the threaded studs
and align.
5. Tighten the nuts.
6. Depending on where the sensor is being fitted:
Insert the thermometer sensors and cylinder
temperature sensors into clamping systems
as far as they will go.
Note
Never wrap insulating tape around the sensors.
