4. The measurement should be 1 1/4" (3.2cm).
Belt Deflection: 1.25" (3.2cm)
5. If the measurement is not correct adjust driven clutch.

Deflection Adjustment - Polaris Driven / P2

1. Loosen the 3 bolts on the deflection cam.
2. To reduce distance between clutch sheaves (reduce
deflection) rotate the cam towards position 1.
3. To increase distance between clutch sheaves
(increase deflection) rotate the cam towards position
5.
4. Torque cam fasteners to 10 ft.lbs. (12 Nm) on the
Polaris P-85. Torque P2 deflection cam screws to 12
ft.lbs. (16 Nm).
5. Raise rear of snowmobile up off of the ground using
a track stand to allow the track to spin.
6. Start the engine and apply enough throttle to spin the
track.
7. Turn off the engine, then re-check the belt deflection.
NOTE: Do not rotate the cam past positions 1 or 5. If
the adjustment cam no longer affects the belt
deflection, replace the belt and re-adjust the
deflection. If the desired deflection still cannot be
achieved with a new belt, the driven clutch should be
reconditioned.
