Selecting the preset
music menu
The audio emphasis menu lets you select the
sound characteristics according to the sound
you are listening to.
Press MUSIC MENU repeatedly to select
the preset you want.
The preset name appears in the display. See the
chart "Music menu options".
To cancel the effect
Press MUSIC MENU repeatedly until "FLAT"
appears.

"SURROUND" appears if you select an effect
with surround effects.

Timer

Falling asleep to music

— Sleep Timer

You can set the system to turn off after a
certain time, so that you can fall asleep to
music.
Press SLEEP on the remote.
Each time you press the button, the minute
display (the turn-off time) changes cyclically as
follows:
SLEEP OFF t AUTO* t 90min t 80min
t ... t 10min
* The system automatically turns off after the current
CD, MD or tape finishes playing (up to 100
minutes).
When the function is TUNER, the system turns off
in 100 minutes.
To Press
Check the SLEEP on the remote once.

Change the time SLEEP on the remote to select the
to turn off time you want.
Cancel the Sleep SLEEP on the remote repeatedly
Timer function until "SLEEP OFF" appears.
Note
Do not set to "AUTO" during Synchro Recording on
an MD or a tape.
