• To clean the fingerprint sensor, wipe its surface with a dry, soft and
static-free cloth. Long-term use may cause the fingerprint sensor to get
dusty, but do not try to remove the dust with a pointed object even in
such a case.
• Static electricity may cause malfunction. Before placing the finger on
the fingerprint sensor, eliminate static electricity by touching a metal
object with the hand, etc. Take particular care in dry seasons such as
winter.
Setting fingerprint authentication
Register fingerprints or set function to use. You can register up to three
fingerprints.
• For unlocking method of screen lock, see "Setting unlock method for the
screen lock" (P.111).

Authenticating fingerprint

When the fingerprint authentication screen appears, place
your finger over the fingerprint sensor
• If the authentication failed, remove the finger from the fingerprint
sensor and try the authentication again.
Information
• When you do not use the fingerprint to unlock the screen of the
terminal, set "Fingerprint unlock" to OFF on the fingerprint scanner
screen.
• When the security is not registered correctly, tap
screen lock using the method of unlock when you registered the
fingerprint.
• If fingerprint authentication failed 5 times consecutively, a message
indicating to retry in 30 seconds appears.
