Installing the program from a storage card
1. Verify that the Fujitsu Setup menu is open
2. Tap the [Install an Application] button.
3. Check the Storage Card checkbox, then click [Next].
4. Enter the name of the folder where you placed the
installation file (config.hht) in the Folder box. You
can use [Browse] to navigate to the location.
5. Tap [Next] to start installation. If the message
"Cannot find the server or files" is displayed, make
sure that the server name and folder name are
correct, then tap the [Retry] button.
Installing programs using ActiveSync
1. Installing a program using ActiveSync requires a
cradle and USB cable. Connect the cradle to the
desktop PC with the USB cable.
2. Power up the CT2000 CE Tablet and place it on the
cradle.
3. If you receive a message on your desktop asking if
you want to set up a partnership, click [No], then
[Next].
4. Verify that the Fujitsu Setup menu is open on the
tablet.
5. Tap the [Install an Application] button.
6. Check Active Sync (USB) box, then click [Next].
7. In the Select Connection box, verify that USB
Default is selected.
8. In the ActiveSync window on the desktop computer,
select Explore. Create a new folder and name the
folder "Install".
9. Place the config.hht file and the application files in
the Install folder (See Creating an installation setup
file on page 51 for more information.).
10. Copy the files from the desktop PC to the tablet.
11. After copying the files, tap the [Disconnect] button
on the CT2000 CE Tablet.
12. Open the Install folder on the tablet and choose the
"config.hht" file to install it.
When the CT2000 CE Tablet is connected to
the desktop PC with ActiveSync, do not turn
off the tablet power. If power is turned off,
ActiveSync on the desktop PC side may not
terminate normally. If termination is not
normal, remove the tablet from the cradle,
make sure that ActiveSync on the desktop
PC side has terminated normally, and then
reconnect the CT2000 CE Tablet to the
desktop PC.
Repeatedly docking and undocking the
tablet may also make the desktop PC
unstable. Do not connect then disconnect
this device within a short period of time.

Installing an application via WLAN
If a wireless LAN is used between the CT2000 CE Tablet
and the desktop PC, the application can be installed
using the wireless LAN.
Prior to attempting to install an application
via WLAN, ensure that you have created an
"Install" folder on the desktop computer,
and that it is used as the repository for all
config.hht, application, and CAB files.
1. Double-tap the "Network and Dial-up
Connections" icon.
2. Single-tap the "PCI-PRISM1" icon.
3. Tap the File menu and select Enable from the pull
down menu.
4. Double-tap the PCI PRISM1 icon. The Settings
window will open.
5. Verify that the information in the window is correct
and complete. If it is not, fill in the information.
6. Tap [OK] to close the window.
7. Close the Control Panel and return to the Fujitsu
Setup menu.
8. Tap the [Install an Application] button.
9. Check the Wireless LAN checkbox, then click
[Next].
10. If you would like to verify your WLAN settings, click
the [Network Properties...] button, otherwise, click
[Next].
11. The name of your tablet should appear in the Device
Name box. If it doesn't enter it.
In the following step, in order to determine
the server name, right-click My Computer
on the desktop computer and select
Properties. Click the Computer Name tab to
see the computer name.
12. Enter the name of the server (i.e., the name of the
computer from which you are installing the applica-
tion) in the Server box. Be sure to enter a double-
backslash ("\\") before the server name. You can use
the [Browse] button to navigate to the location.
13. Enter the name of the folder where you placed the
installation file (config.hht) in the Folder box on the
desktop computer.
14. Tap [Next] to start installation. If the message
"Cannot find the server or files" is displayed, make
sure that the server name and folder name are
correct, then tap the [Retry] button.
