USER RESPONSE TO MESSAGES

If at any time you receive one of the following messages, take the action described in the following table.
Message
"Main batteries very low"
"Low backup battery"
"No application has been installed.
Press 'BKS' to continue."
"The contents of memory has been
lost. Touch 'Restore' to recover the
application program."
"System has detected an error in
your data."
Cause
The main battery charge is
too low.
The backup battery charge is
too low.
No application programs
have been installed.
The memory data was
deleted because (for
example) the battery charge
was too low.
An error occurred in the
system information storage
area of the flash disk.

User Response
Either replace the main battery or charge
the main battery using the battery
charger or cradle. See "Charging the
Battery Pack" on page 18.
Charge the backup battery. The backup
battery should be charged for twenty-
four hours to be fully charged.
Refer to installation procedure in the
Appendix of this document.
Refer to restoration procedure in the
Appendix of this document.
Tap the [OK] key to initialize the flash
disk, then reinstall the application
programs.
