Which CDs can be played?

The use of mini or shape
CDs will damage the drive!
Mini CDs with a diameter of 8 cm
and Shape CDs damage the drive!

The device can play the following
CD formats:

CD audio
•
CD-R
•
CD ROM with MP3 or WMA (only
without DRM copy protection)
•
Some CDs with copy protection
cannot be played.
Note:
The quality of self-burnt CDs
fl uctuates due to different CD
burner software, CD blanks and
burn speeds. For this reason, it
is possible that the device cannot
play some self-burnt CDs.

If you cannot play a CD-R:

Use CD-Rs from a different manu-
facturer or a different color,
•
burn CD-Rs at a lower speed.
What characteristics do MP3 CDs
have to have?
The device can only play and dis-
play MP3 CDs with the following
features:

The CD-ROM may contain only
MP3 fi les as well as folders, but
no other fi les, including no CD
audio fi les
•
CD format: ISO 9660 (Level 1 or
2) or Joliet
•
Bit rate: max. 320 kbit/s
•
File extension: must be ".MP3"
•
ID3 tags: Version 1 or 2
•
Folder: max. 252 per CD
Number of MP3 fi les: max. 255
•

•
File names:
•
No umlauts
•
No special characters
•
Up to 32 characters are
shown on the display
