very easy to use and enables users to scan directly into numerous document
management and other enterprise applications.
— Unlike with most other devices, when setting up scanning, the default
domain must be used and DNS has to be enabled in order for LDAP support
to function.
 BLI test technicians praised the ease of use of the Universal Send scan func-
tion.
 TWAIN scanning is also possible via Network ScanGear, which is standard
with the device. Setting up ScanGear was also easy, because the device is
auto located.
 By default, the maximum size allowed for e-mail jobs is 3 MB (larger files
will be split up and sent as multiple files), but this threshold can be adjusted
from 1 MB to 99 MB.
Preview is available for scanning
 In print mode, output was rated Excellent for text and line art and Very
Good for halftones and solids.
 In copy mode, solids were rated Excellent and all other aspects of output
quality were rated Very Good.
