9. Spurious Signals ( on-Harmonic)
Description and Procedure
Use this procedure to measure known, xed, o set spurs that are generated in
the frequency synthesis section of the synthesizer. he synthesizer is set to
various CW frequencies where these spurious signals will most likely occur.
hen the spectrum analyzer is tuned to the spur frequencies to measure their
levels.
1. Preset the instruments shown in Figure 2-11 and let them warm up for at
least one hour.
On the HP 8566B, connect the CAL OU PU to the RF INPU . Press
to calibrate the spectrum analyzer.
