5/16 X 1-1/4 Rubber Washer Tools required 1/2” socket and wrench 1.4 Per figure 1.4, if the Curtis Roof is being installed on this vehicle, a piece of 3/4" side bulb rubber with 2 wipers will need to be installed on the rear flange of the roof (rubber should be facing forward). -

4 of 6 CARE AND MAINTENANCE • Check and tighten hardware after 40 hours of operation. Periodically inspect and tighten hardware for the remainder of the unit’s life. • DO NOT clean polycarbonate windows with harsh chemicals. It will damage the plastic. Mild soap and water should be used on the rear panel. -

This page can also be used for other solid metal-to-metal joints. Do not use these high torque values on any of the following applications involving: tubing, plastic, nylon or rubber washers, threaded inserts, etc.. - Page 6 Tightening of Non-Structural Bolts For light or medium duty fastening, Curtis recommends using a general industry standard of tightening until snug and then giving an additional one quarter turn of the tool as deemed reasonable for the application (i.e.: at the installer’s discretion).
