These settings together are referred to as a VLAN profile.
7. Click the Apply button.
Your settings are saved. The VLAN profile is added to the table. You can now assign
a port, LAN, WiFi network, or combination of these to the new VLAN.
Add a new VLAN profile for a LAN
You can add a new VLAN profile for LAN 2, LAN 3, LAN 4, and LAN 5 on the associated
LAN page. The VLAN profile consists of a VLAN name, VLAN ID, and two VLAN feature
settings.
Note: You can also add a VLAN profile on the VLAN / Bridge Settings page (see Add
a new VLAN profile on page 127). On the VLAN / Bridge Settings page, you can manage
VLANs (you cannot do so on a LAN Setup page).
To add a VLAN profile for a LAN:
1. Launch a web browser from a computer or mobile device that is connected to your
Orbi network.
2. Enter orbilogin.com.
A login window displays.
If your browser does not display a login window but displays a security warning and
does not let you proceed, see Resolve a browser security warning on page 27.
3. Enter the admin user name and password.
The user name is admin. The password is the one that you specified the first time
that you logged in. The user name and password are case-sensitive.
Manage the LAN and WAN
Settings
Description
Enter a name for the VLAN.
Enter an ID from 1 to 4094.
Client isolation prevents hosts and clients in the VLAN from reaching ports, hosts, and
clients in the same VLAN, thereby increasing security.
Select the check box to enable this option.
Network isolation, also referred to as network segmentation, prevents hosts and clients
in the VLAN from reaching ports, hosts, and clients in other VLANs, thereby increasing
security.
Select the check box to enable this option.
