Always switch off the appliance and wait until
the device completely stops whenever you leave
the
machine,
before
before changing accessories, checking, cleaning,
troubleshooting or working on the appliance.
It is forbidden to move or modify any of the internal
parts of the device.
Specific safety rules
Watch your finger! Wear gloves! Keep your hands
and all your body away from the drilling area and bit.
Keep your second hand on the auxiliary handle.
Wear hear protection when using impact drill.
Exposure to noise can cause hearing loss.
Hold the drill firmly to prevent the loss of control.
Never hold the piece to be drilled in your hands
or across your leg. It's important to support the work
properly to minimize the body exposure or loss of control.
Never use damaged or incorrect bit.
Use clamps or other practical way to secure and
support the workpiece to a stable platform. Holding the
work by hand or against your body is unstable and may
lead to loss of control.
UNPACKING
When unpacking, check to make sure that all
components are included. Refer to the drawings on this
manual. If any parts are missing or broken, please call
an IVT assistance center.
INITIAL OPERATION
Always use the correct supply voltage: the power supply
voltage must match the information quoted on the tool
identification plate.
AUXILIARY HANDLE (5) / DEPTH RULER

For all work with the machine, the auxiliary handle (5)
must be mounted.
When fitting the auxiliary handle ensure the hand grip is
loose (screw the handle in an anti-clockwise direction to
loosen) before sliding it over the drill's shoulder.
The drilling depth can be set with the depth ruler (4).
Loosen the screw for auxiliary handle adjustment
(6) by unscrewing the auxiliary handle (5)
Set the desired drilling depth.
Tighten the auxiliary handle (5)
Depending on the required angle of the auxiliary handle,
lock the pin (on body machine) into one of the gates (on
carrying
out
maintenance,
auxiliary handle) then tighten the hand grip to secure.

KEYLESS CHUCK (12) [F2]
These machines are equipped with a keyless chuck for
drills. Thus, you can manually change the accessories
quickly and without using a key.
While maintaining steady the rear part of the chuck,
rotate the front part counterclockwise until you reach the
ideal width to insert / replace the bit.
Insert / replace the bit.
Rotate the front part of the chuck (12) clockwise,
while maintaining steady the back part until the bit is
securely tightened.
GEAR RIM CHUCK
Insert the tool and tighten all three bores equally with
the drill chuck key (11).

SWITCHING ON / OFF
Brief activation
Press the On / Off switch (9) and then let go again.
Continuous use
Switching on
Press On / Off switch (9) and retain with locking button
(10).
Switching off
Press and release On / Off switch (9).

STEPLESS SPEED CONTROL
The machine runs with variable speed
between 0 and maximum depending on the
pressure applied to the On / Off switch (9).
Light pressure results in a low rotational
speed thus allowing smooth, controlled starts.
Do not load the machine so heavily that it comes to a
standstill.

VARIABLE SPEED

With the variable speed thumbwheel (8) the required
speed can be selected (also while running).
Press On / Off switch (9) and retain with locking
button for On / Off switch (10).
Set the needed speed.
