    There is no command line access and the WatchGuard XCS runs as a closed system, preventing accidental or deliberate misconfiguration by administrators, which is a common cause of security vulnerabilities.

    Put it in a secure area, such as a locked room, to keep the device from people who do not have permission to use it.  Connect it to a conditioned power supply to prevent damage from sudden power changes. USB Interfaces There are two USB interfaces that support additional peripherals, for example. a USB keyboard for use with the XCS device console. VGA Video Interface (Console) You can use the VGA video connector to connect a monitor and view the XCS device console screen.

    Hardware Specifications Replace a Power Supply Your XCS device is equipped with dual power supplies. If one of the power supplies fails, the XCS device will continue normal operation with the remaining power supply. It is not necessary to turn off the XCS device to replace a failed power supply. Caution The power supply can be extremely hot when removed.
