Using the AQ-DM-4 iPod Docking Station

The AQ-DM-4 iPod and MP3 player docking station is
fully integrated with your Cal Spa. The docking station
is tailored to the needs of Apple iPod owner, although it
will play most other MP3 players. The docking station is
specially configured to accommodate currently available
iPods, using five interchangeable inserts in the docking
bay.
The docking station comes with its own owner's manual.
It describes parts included, installation, and proper use.
Owners of this system must read the manufacturer's
instructions prior to operating this unit. The instructions
are shipped inside the docking station behind the remote
control.
Note: The system includes an MP3 docking station and remote control and does NOT INCLUDE
an MP3 player such as an iPod .
Synchronizing the Remote Control with the Docking Station
Before you can use the remote control with the docking station, they need to be synchronized.
1. Turn on the docking bay by pressing the POWER button (located inside the unit).
2. Press and hold the AUDIO button on the remote for more than 10 seconds. The remote will be automatically
pair/synchronized.
3. The remote will inform you if the dock is receiving the command from the remote control. If the LCD
displays "---" in either mode, this means that the remote control is out of reception range.
If the docking bay and the remote fail to sync, follow this procedure:
1. Turn the docking bay OFF by pressing the POWER button in the locker.
2. Press the MODE button on the remote once until you see two dash lines.
3. Turn the docking bay ON by pressing the POWER button in the locker.
4. Press and hold the MODE button on the remote for more than 10 seconds then you will see the message
"WELCOME" on the display.
