Making a call

To make a call:
1. Press PHONE/
-OR-
SPEAKER to use the speakerphone, then wait
Press
for the dial tone.
2. Use the dial pad keys to enter the telephone number.
On-hook dialing (predialing):
1. Use the dial pad keys to enter the telephone number (up
to 30 digits).
• Press and hold
dialing pause (a P appears).
• Press
MUTE
2. Press PHONE/

SPEAKER to call using the speakerphone.

NOTES:
• Pressing
PHONE
affect the elapsed time.
• When a handset is on a call, if another handset attempts to access the directory, speed dial list
or caller ID history, the screen shows NOT AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME.

Temporary ringer silencing

While the telephone is ringing, press
MUTE/
to silence the ringer temporarily on that
DELETE
handset only.
This turns off the ringer without disconnecting the call. The
next incoming call rings normally at the preset volume.
NOTE: Unless the ringer volume is turned off on that handset, each handset rings when
there is an incoming call.
