Step 2: Using a battery pack or AC Adapter

The camcorder can be powered by a battery
pack or via an AC Adapter.
For safety, do not use power sources other
than genuine Sony battery packs.

• Do not place the battery pack in hot locations,
such as in direct sunlight or near naked flames.
• Use the supplied AC Adapter to power the
camcorder from a power outlet.
Using a battery pack

Push the battery in and slide it
down into position.
To remove the battery pack
Set the ON/STANDBY switch to
STANDBY (1).
Press and hold the BATT RELEASE
button, and slide the battery up and out.
On the battery pack
• Always set the ON/STANDBY switch to
STANDBY (1) before changing the battery
pack.
• The Battery Info may not be correctly displayed
under the following conditions.
– The battery pack is not attached correctly.
– The battery pack is damaged.
– The battery pack is worn out.
