Failure Diagnosis
Failure Diagnosis of Inverter Unit
(2) When inverter anomaly (E6 ∗1 to E7∗1) is generated
Possible cause is as follows. Check all of the following causes.
Cause
Overload condition
Power voltage
anomaly
Failure of the inverter
- PCB
When an external cause such as momentary power failure or lightening, or short duration of overload
Caution
occurs, an alarm is generated by momentary overcurrent even without any component failure.
(3) IPM (transistor) failure diagnosis
Use an analog tester to measure the resistance values between terminals (resistance range x1 time).
Be sure to disconnect wires attached to the U, V, W terminals of the INV-H PCB.

The use of an instrument other than analog tester for making a failure diagnosis of IPM (transistor) and diode
Caution
may result in unstable measurement values.
Method of Checking
1) Check if the compressor motor current is high.
2) Check if any overload condition occurred even in a
short duration of time.
Check if the supplied power voltage to the refrigeration
unit is in the range of 200V ± 20 V.
When the supplied voltage to the refrigeration unit is in
the range of 200 V ± 20 V, check if any anomalies exist in
the appearance or component chipping of the inverter-
PCB.
1) Check if any difference exists between the motor
current of the compressor and the current value
displayed on the control PCB.
2) No problem if the difference in current value is ±10 %.
