Viessmann solar collectors are tested for
impact resistance, for example against
hailstones, to EN 12975-2.

Care, inspection and maintenance

■ Regularly check the thermal insulation
of the pipework.
■ Have leaking pipes and leaks in the
solar thermal system repaired imme-
diately.
■ We recommend regular checking of
the heat transfer medium (frost protec-
tion level and pH value).
■ Keep collectors free of dirt and snow.
Increased contamination lowers the
efficiency of the solar thermal system.
■ Have your solar thermal system serv-
iced regularly to ensure trouble-free,
energy-conscious and environmen-
tally responsible operation. For this, it
is recommended that you take out an
inspection and maintenance contract
with your local contractor.
■ Regularly check the plug with integral
residual current device.
A power cable connects this plug to
the DHW cylinder.
Nevertheless we recommend that the
user insures against extreme weather
conditions and includes the collectors on
their buildings insurance. Damage due
to these conditions is excluded from our
warranty.
Checking the plug with integral resid-
ual current device
1. Insert the plug into the socket.
LED A lights up.
2. Press button C.
Button B pops up and LED A goes
out.
3. Press button B.
If LED A lights up, the plug is OK. If
LED A does not light up, inform your
contractor.
