The heat sink and microprocessor might be very hot. Before you open the computer cover, turn off the
computer and wait several minutes until the computer is cool.
For access, remove these parts in order, if any:

• "Drive bay assembly" on page 64
• "M.2 solid-state drive and heat sink" on page 68
• "Wi-Fi card" on page 73
• "Memory module" on page 74
• "PCI-Express connector cable" on page 76

• "Front IO bracket and power button" on page 81
• "Card reader and card reader bracket" on page 83
• "Heat sink and fan assembly" on page 84
• "Microprocessor" on page 87

Record the cable routing and cable connections, and then disconnect all cables from the system board. See

Note: The failing system board must be returned with a microprocessor socket cover to protect the pins
during shipping and handling.
