Note: When installing the M.2 solid-state drive Gen 4 and the heat sink, remove the film that covers the
thermal pad (if any).
M.2 solid-state drive Gen 3
For access, remove these parts in order:
• "Computer cover" on page 61
• "Front bezel" on page 62
• "Drive bay assembly" on page 64
Remove the M.2 solid-state drive Gen 3 and the heat sink (if any) depending on the computer model.
• For computers without the heat sink for the M.2 solid-state drive Gen 3:
• For computers with the heat sink for the M.2 solid-state drive Gen 3, do one of the following depending on
the computer model:
