TROUBLESHOOTING

The washing machine may sometimes not work properly for certain reasons. Before calling the Support Centre, it is
recommended to check to see if the problem can be easily resolved using the following list.
If you experience
Vibration, rocking, or "walking"
Clicking or metallic noises
Gurgling or humming
Check the following for proper installa-
tion
Possible Causes
Vibration or Off-Balance
• Feet may not be in contact with the
floor and locked.
• Washing Machine may not be level.
• Load could be unbalanced or too
large.
• The shipping bolts are still in the back
of the washing machine.
Noises
• Door locking or unlocking.
• Objects caught in wash drain system.
• Washing machine may be draining
water.
Water Leaks
• Fill hose not attached tightly.
• Fill hose washing machine.
• Drain hose connection.
• Drain pump fi lter is not properly
seated.
• Check household plumbing for leaks
or clogged sink or drain.
• Strainer (or nylon stocking) on end of
drain hose is clogged.
Solution
• Front and rear feet must be in fi rm
contact with floor, and washing machine
must be level to operate properly. Jam
nuts must be tight against the bottom of
the cabinet.
• Check floor for flexing or sagging. If
flooring is uneven, a 19 mm piece of
plywood under your washing machine
will reduce sound. Do not install washing
machine on a raised wooden platform.
• Avoid tightly packing the load. Avoid
washing single items. Balance a single item
such as a rug or jean jacket with a few extra
items. Item or load not suitable for selected
cycle.
• See "Installation Guide" .
• The door will lock, unlock, and lock again.
You will hear three clicks after touching the
Start/Pause button. This is normal.
• Empty pockets before washing. Loose
items such as coins could fall between
washing machine drum and tub or may
block pump. It may be necessary to call
for service to remove items.
• It is normal to hear metal items on clothing
such as metal snaps, buckles, or zippers
touch against the stainless steel drum.
• The pump may make a humming sound
with periodic gurgling or surging as final
amounts of water are removed during the
spin/drain cycles. This is normal at certain
stages of the cycle.
• Tighten fill hose connection.
• Properly seat cold fill hose flat washing
machine.
• Check that the drain hose is properly
secured to drain pipe or laundry tub.
• Make sure filter is correctly placed in
the housing. See "Clean the pump filter
regularly. "
• Water can back up out of a clogged
sink or drain pipe. Check all household
plumbing for leaks (laundry tubs, drain
pipe, water pipes, and faucet.)
• Remove strainer/stocking from drain
hose.
