HINTS AND TIPS

SORT YOUR LAUNDRY ACCORDING TO
• Type of fabric / care label (cotton, mixed fi
synthetics, wool, handwash items)
• Colour (separate coloured and white items, wash
new coloured articles separately)
• Size (wash items of different sizes in the same wash
load to improve washing efficiency and distribution
in the drum)
• Delicates (wash small items – like nylon stockings
– and items with hooks – like bras – in a cloth bag or
pillow case with zip.
EMPTY ALL POCKETS
• Objects like coins or safety pins can damage your
laundry as well as the drum.
WASH CARE LABELS
The temperature in the washtub symbol indicates
the maximum possible temperature for washing the
item.

CLEAN THE PUMP FILTER REGULARLY
• Helps to avoid that it can get clogged and that the
drain water cannot be pumped out anymore. Refer
to section CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE /
"Cleaning the pump filter".
HOW TO MANUALLY OPEN DOOR FOR
EMERGENCY
Before opening the door as described below, refer
to the failure "Door will not unlock" in the
"Troubleshooting" section.
The door may unlock by itself after the failure
condition no longer exists.
If the door still cannot be opened, perform the
following:
Before Opening Door:
• Turn off and unplug the washing machine.
• Close the water faucet.
Always drain the water before opening the door by:
• Following the instructions in the "Cleaning the
Drain Pump Filter/Draining Residual Water" section.

To Unlock and Open Washing machine Door:
1. Open the drain pump filter access door at the
bottom right corner at the front of the washing
machine. With a Phillips head screwdriver, loosen
and remove the Phillips head screw at the upper
right portion of the access door compartment.
2. Pull down on the plastic strap located beneath
the removed screw. The door can now be opened
and the laundry removed, if needed.
3. After removing laundry if needed, secure the
plastic strap by replacing and tightening the
Phillips head screw removed in Step 1 through the
hole in the strap.
SAVINGS AND ENVIRONMENT
• Achieve the best use of energy, water, detergent
and time by using the recommended maximum
load size
for the programmes, as indicated in the programme
chart.
• Do not exceed the detergent dosages indicated in
the detergent manufacturer's instructions. Use the
Auto dosing function.
• Use the Remote Control mode to programme and
start the washing machine while the energy costs
are lower.
