Printing-related troubleshooting

Symptom
The printer does not print.
Smears constantly appear on the print
and noise occurs.
The printing position is incorrect (some
parts of the media cannot be printed on).
Possible cause and remedy
Is Ethernet cable connected correctly?
• Securely connect the Ethernet cable to the Ethernet Port.
Is there any error message displayed on MSM?
• Go to the Printer Status tab in MSM and check that if any error message is
displayed in the Status Information.
Is an obstacle or dirt present on the table rail?
• Check on the table rail and clean it.
• If noise still persists, please contact your local Mutoh dealer.
Is the media loaded on the correct position?
• Go to the Show Edges menu to check the printing area by LED pointer.

Did the printer start printing from the correct position?
• Go to the Show Edges menu to check the print start position by LED pointer.

Note
To check the printing area before printing, go to
select "Step" or "Auto".
