Push yellow handle 1 on the hood catch to

the le as far as it will go (palm downwards).
Li the hood until it is automatically raised by
the pneumatic spring.

Lower the hood and let it drop from a height of

approximately 8 in (20 cm).
If the hood can still be li ed slightly, open the

hood again and close it with a little force until
it engages correctly.

The engine has been warmed up.

The vehicle is parked on a level surface.

The engine is running at idle speed.

The hood is closed.
R
The engine oil level is determined during driving.
Determining the engine oil level can take up to
30 minutes with a normal driving style and even
longer with an active driving style.

of the oil level is not yet possible.
Repeat the request a er a maximum of

Engine Oil Level OK and the bar display for

indicating the oil level on the instrument dis-
play is green and is between "min" and "max":
the oil level is correct.
Engine Oil Level Add 1,1 qts. and the bar dis-

play for indicating the oil level on the instru-
ment display is orange and is below "min":
Add 1.1 US qt (1 l) of engine oil.
