If the engine is removed and placed on a suitable
engine stand, there are weight limitation for the
support pads of the cast iron tunnel type engine oil
pan.

(A) Front support pads
(B) Rear support pads
The support pads in Positions (A) can support a
maximum evenly distributed load with a combined
weight of 912 kg (2010 lb), refer to Illustration 34 .
The support pads in Positions (B) can support a
maximum evenly distributed load with a combined
weight of 386 kg (851 lb), refer to Illustration 34 .
Aftertreatment Systems for Engine
Equipped with a Balancer
Ensure that the correct clothing is worn, refer to this
Operation and Maintenance Manual, "General
Hazard Information".
The approximate weight of the Aftertreatment is
13 kg (28.7 lb).
A minimum of two suitable double looped slings will
be required to lift the Aftertreatment. Also, a suitable
hoist will be required to remove and install the
assembly.
The slings must be securely attached to the
Aftertreatment in a manner that will enable safe
removal.
Ensure that the slings only contact the body of the
Aftertreatment. A test lift may be required to achieve
the correct balance of the assembly for safe removal.
