INSTALLATION OF THE UPRIGHT MODEL IN
BUILT-IN VERSION
Before drilling the hole in the underneath of
the kitchen wall unit check that there are no
particular parts of the structure of the kitch-
en wall unit or other components that could
create problems for the correct installation
inside the kitchen wall unit in correspond-
ence to the zone where the appliance will be
housed.
Check that the dimensions of the UPRIGHT
and the ones of the CABINET are compatible,
in order to make installation possible.
Drill an 860mm x 185mm rectangular hole
at the rear of the kitchen wall unit base. The
drilling must be carried out 10 mm from the
rear internal wall of the kitchen wall unit (re-
fer to Fig. 14).
If the Upright model is equipped with inter-
nal motor, you need to remove the suctioning
unit before inserting the appliance into the
cabinet, and then restore the unit in its place;
the following procedure must be followed.
Remove the left cover fig. 4 A , disconnect
the suctioning unit electric connector , then
remove the fixing screws and pull it out as
per (fig.13).
Fix the brackets (Fig. 14A) to the side walls
inside the kitchen wall unit utilizing the drill-
ing template positioned as indicated in Fig.
14.
If you have any problems while installing the
appliance using the side brackets, you can
use the other types of brackets ( also sup-
plied with the appliance) suitable to fix the
appliance to the rear wall, where the cabinet
is installed.
If you want to follow this option, you will
need to remove the pieces of wood from the
wall brackets fixing area (fig. 20) , and then
fasten the brackets as shown in fig. 21, by
using the dowels and screws provided.
Use the drilling template in order to identify
all the dimensions necessary for installation.
The supplied vertical brackets indicated in
Fig. 15 must be cut before installing them on
the basis of the height of the kitchen wall unit
and utilizing the following procedure:
Check the height of the kitchen wall unit
by measuring it from the external lower
edge to the internal upper edge (Fig. 15)
then cut the vertical brackets as indicat-
ed in Fig. 15.
The length of the vertical staff is calcu-
lated by the dimension detected in the
kitchen wall unit, less 400 mm.
Fix the vertical brackets (Fig. 16) to the
upper surface of the kitchen wall unit
and the previously installed bracket.
From underneath the kitchen wall unit,
insert the Upright appliance into the
opening realised until the two hinges are
attached to the brackets previously fixed
in the kitchen wall unit (Fig. 17A).
Utilise the upper adjustment screw of the
hinge (Fig. 17B) to lift and definitively
block the Upright appliance inside the
kitchen wall unit.
Check that the lower edge adheres per-
fectly to the kitchen wall unit.
If necessary, the appliance can be moved
forwards or backwards in the kitchen
wall unit by utilising the adjustment
screw (Fig. 17C).
Replace the extraction unit and recon-
nect it to the electrical connection.
Replace the left cover removed in Fig. 4.
Carry out the electric connection
Rear air out-let:
In case the rear air-outlet is to be used, only
possible with external motor versions and
not possible with internal motors ver-
sions, please make sure that the wall piping
is placed as shown in the drilling template.
If the rear air-outlet is used , remove the air
out-let hole cover as per fig. 3, leaving the
top air-outlet closed, then open the ex-
tractable unit (see the 'Working' chapter),
remove the left cover fig. 4 A , remove the
electronic box support fig. 4 B and connect
the air out-let flange to the wall piping, as
shown in fig. 5.
External motor electric connection:
In the case of an external motor version con-
nected to an external extraction unit of the
same manufacturer, it will be necessary to
connect the cable of the remote motor to the
appropriate connector that becomes visible
after removing the left cover (Fig. 4A).
Top air out-let (suctioning version):
Remove the upper extraction outlet enclosure
cap, install the rectangular flange and any
union for the circular tube (Fig. 7) and then
connect the air outlet tube to the flange of
the appliance.
