Pre-work preparations

Complete the server information sheet in Appendix A.

Shutdown the server system if its running.

Turn off the server's power (and any attached peripherals).

Disconnect all peripherals and unplug all device power cords.
2 Removing the front cover

Open the front door, then loosen the 2 front cover retaining screws (M3).

Slightly depress the front cover, pull it forward to remove.
•
Wear a wrist grounding strap before removing and attaching
covers.
•
Keep the strap on until you complete removing and attaching
covers.
