Update PS175 for IFPxx50
Symptoms: Image flicker
This SOP is to outline the firmware update procedure to improve communication with various
graphic chipsets that currently fall outside the displays tolerance range, such as the "Intel HD530"
Only applies to units PRIOR to the serial numbers listed below
IFP6550 – V25173800001
IFP7550 – UZW173600001
IFP8650 – UZU17390001
Required equipment:
 ViewSonic IFPxx50 series display
 VPC10-WP Slot in PC (installed)
 USB flash drive
 Upgrade file "upgrade_510" (provided by ViewSonic)
Instructions:
1. Format your USB flash drive into FAT32.
2. Place folder named "upgrade_510" onto root directory of the USB drive.
3. Press POWER button to turn display on
4. When LED indicator turns BLUE, press and hold POWER button to prompt firmware update.
FW upgrade process will last approximately 5 minutes. During the update, the PC will make a
beeping sound. Once update completes, the display will restart and launch into Android.
Update Verification:
The display will automatically restart and launch to Android with Upgrade factory menu. Exit out
of this menu.
**Any changes made in the factory menu can result in failure or malfunction of the
ViewSonic Display. ViewSonic will not warranty unauthorized changes made within the
factory menu**
