the "right" side, using the two mounting bolts.
b. Attach the "Red" lead to the "Freewheel" single
solenoid. The "Green" lead to the "Reverse"
bottom front solenoid, and the "Yellow" lead to the
"Forward" top front solenoid. Apply 4 to 6 ft-lbs
(17.8-26.7 Nm) of torque to the nuts.
2. Install the manifold, using the following two steps,
for units with manifold mounted at the frame brace.
New style - welded axle
a. Install the manifold with the single solenoid to
the "left" side using the two mounting bolts.
b. Attach the "Orange" lead to the "Freewheel"
single solenoid. The "Blue" lead to the "Reverse"
top front solenoid, and the "White" lead to the
"Forward" bottom front solenoid. Apply 4 to 6 ft-lbs
(17.8-26.7 Nm) of torque to the nuts.
3. Connect the three hydraulic hoses.

11.6 WHEEL MOTOR REMOVAL

NOTE: Apply the parking brake and block the drive
wheels prior to jacking the unit for wheel motor removal
to avoid personal injury.
1. Jack the unit and remove the appropriate tire.
CAUTION: The hub is under extreme
pressure. Do not remove the castle nut
entirely until the hub is broken loose on the
axle.
2. Loosen the castle nut three to four turns and use a
gear puller to pop the hub loose on the axle.
Remove the castle nut the rest of the way and slide
the hub off of the axle.
3. Disconnect the two hydraulic hoses at the wheel
motor and cap.
4. Remove the two hydraulic adapters from the wheel
motor.
5. Remove the four bolts mounting the wheel motor to
the caster and slide the wheel motor out of the
caster.

11.8 F/W/A ON, OFF, REVERSE SWITCH

Use the following steps to complete a functional check
of the switch.
1. Voltage checks are taken, looking at the back of
the switch, as it is mounted in the panel.
2. With the F/W/A toggle switch in the "Off" position:
a. Verify "12" volts at the two center terminals to
ground (red leads).
3. With the F/W/A toggle switch on the "On" position:
a. Verify "12" volts to ground at the two center
terminals (red leads).
b. Verify "12" volts to ground at the top left terminal
(orange lead).
c. Verify "12" volts to ground at the bottom left (blue
lead) and bottom right (orange lead) terminals.
4. With the F/W/A toggle switch held in the "Reverse"
position:
a. Verify "12" volts to ground at the two center
terminals (red leads).
b. Verify "12" volts to ground at the top left (orange
lead) and top right (white lead) terminals.

11.9 REVERSE SAFETY SWITCH

1. Adjust the reverse safety switch so that when the
directional control pedal is in the neutral position,
the safety switch should be in the "Closed"
