Service the Effervescent Ports

NOTICE: This section is for general aid only. A Kohler Co. Authorized Service Representative or qualified
electrician should correct any electrical problems. For warranty service, contact your dealer or wholesale
distributor.
Remove the Flange
Remove and reinstall the ports one at a time.
Pry off the flange cap with a screwdriver. Be careful not to scratch the flange cap or the whirlpool
finish.
Remove the flange. Use the provided flange removal tool and a 3/8" socket wrench to turn the
flange counterclockwise.
Reinstall the Flange
Apply a bead of 100% silicone sealant around the threads and under the rim of the flange.
Install the flange finger tight and then tighten an additional 1-1/2 turns clockwise using the flange
removal tool.
Wipe away any excess silicone sealant.
Insert the flange cap over the flange. Press until the flange cap snaps into position.
Allow the 100% silicone sealant to cure before filling the bath and testing for leaks. Refer to the
sealant manufacturer's instructions for the curing time.
