See the chart below for explanation of error codes that appear in the ALARM HISTORY of the UPS SETUP LCD Screen, as well as sug-
gested solutions for each error.
LCD Display
Description
The load exceeds UPS capacity.
OVERLOAD
O/P SHORT
UPS's output is shorted.
Battery is not connected to UPS.
NO BATTERY
SITE WIRING
The connection of utility line is not
correct.
FAULT
The UPS will report a BATTERY FAULT if it
BATTERY FAULT
finds the batteries to be weak after
performing a self-test.
OVER TEMP
The inside temperature of the UPS is
higher than the limit.
There are problems with the charger
CHARGER FAULT
circuit.
There are problems with the fan.
FAN FAULT
+/-DC BUS
The internal DC bus voltage is too high or
HIGH/LOW
too low.
BUS OVP
The internal DC bus voltage is too high.
INVERT FAULT
There are problems with the inverter
circuit.
DC-DC FAULT
There are problems with the DC-DC
converter circuit.
I/P OVER
There are issues with the PFC or INV
CURRENT
circuit.

Solution
Reduce the connected load.
Remove the cause of the short circuit from the UPS's output.
Check the connection of the internal battery
Check the utility line for wiring problems such as reversed line and a
neutral or missing ground.
Let the UPS system charge for at least 12 hours and perform battery
test using the ON/MUTE button as described in the Features section.
If the second test also results in a BATTERY FAULT message, replace
the batteries and/or contact Tripp Lite for assistance. Note: BATTERY
FAULT is always accompanied by an audible alarm that beeps at
2-second intervals.
Check the UPS to be sure that there is adequate space for air to
circulate near the vents and that the fan is working properly. Ensure
that the UPS is in a 0-40°C / 32-104°F environment.
If the problem persists, contact Tripp Lite for assistance.
Check if there is any material stopping the rotation of the fan.
Remove the material. If the problem persists, contact Tripp Lite for
assistance.
