CONNECTING AND OPERATING A KEYBOARD

An IBM PC compatible keyboard can be connected and disc files
can be created from the keyboard.
Connectable keyboard: IBM US101 keyboard
(connector: 6-pin mini DIN PS/2
type)
Applicable cord:
SCAN CODE SET 02

Connecting the Keyboard

Keyboard
NOTE: Turn off the power of the DCM-5000 before connecting
the keyboard.

Keyboard Operations

The keys on the keyboard are assigned to remote control unit
and main unit operations.
• Operations before disc files are input
Sets the disc file input mode.
F1
Decrements the disc number by 10.
PgUp
Increments the disc number by 10.
PgDn
• Operations after disc files are input
Input small letters (when CapsLock is off).
Letter keys
Input numbers.
Number keys
Input symbols.
Symbol keys
Deletes previous character.
Backspace
Deletes character.
Del
Selects the line and item on the OSD.
Selects the line and item on the OSD.
Selects the line and item on the OSD.
Selects the line and item on the OSD.
Sets data, and selects the item.
Enter
Cancels the disc file input mode.
Esc
+
Switches between small letters, and capital
Shift
Capslock
letters.
When keys are pressed while holding in the
functions as follows:
Input Capital letters (when CapsLock is off)
Letter keys
Input symbols.
Number keys
Input (upper) symbols.
Symbol keys
When keys are pressed while holding in the
functions as follows:
Clears disc and track titles.
Del
NOTES:
• Input numbers via keyboard:
use top row keys 1, 2, 3 ...... 9, 0
• Num Lock keypad only provides cursor functions.
