Replacing the Palm Rest Inserts

Save and close any open files, exit any open programs, and shut down

the computer (see page24) .
2 Keep the display open, and tilt the computer back so that you can
access the bottom of the computer.
Slide and hold the latch release on the left side, and remove any device

installed in the media bay.
4 Slide and hold the latch release on the right side, and remove any
battery installed in the battery bay.
Locate the indentation under each palm rest insert, place your thumbs

on the indentation, and gently push to release the palm rest inserts.
Remove the palm rest inserts.

To replace the palm rest inserts, align the tabs on the edge of the palm
7
rest inserts with the slots on the computer and then press down until
you hear a click.
Repeat the process on each side.
