    After you complete any replacement procedure, ensure you connect any external devices, cards, and cables before turning on your computer. CAUTION: To avoid damage to the computer, use only the battery designed for this particular Dell computer. Do not use batteries designed for other Dell computers.

    Remove the screws that secure the palmrest to the computer. Starting from the left pry up the palmrest and remove it from the computer. Installing the Palmrest Insert the palmrest towards the display screen at a 30–degree angle. Align and adjust the palmrest into position before pressing it down. Connect the power board cable and touchpad cable to their respective connectors.
