unaltered. The example below shows how to set the dynamic range com-
pression.

Common Operations
Reset the Unit
You may need to reset the unit if
*
operating for the first time.
*
after replacing the car battery.
* If errors appear on the display, or the
button fail to work.
To do so, release the front panel and then
RESET button on the base
Press the

object, such as a ball
point
pen. Note that reseting the unit will also
reset the clock and erase some of your
stored settings.
Turning the Unit On or Off
Press the power button (PWR) to turn on.
Inserting a disc will also turn the unit on
and automatically begin playing the disc.
Press and hold the PWR buttonto turn the
unit off.
Volume Control
The volume can be increased or decreased
with the VOL buttons on the remote control,
or the VOL dial on the unit.

Setting the Sound Characteristics
You can set the following sound characteristics:
SEL on the remote control to select

mode in the following order:
VOL
BAL
FAD
BAS
TRE
To do so, press SEL on the remote control,
then adjust each setting with the VOL buttons.
If you don t adjust VOL buttons within 3
seconds after selecting the desired mode,
the unit will automatically return to the
current mode being displayed.
The same can be done by (a) pressing SEL
and rotating VOL button on the main unit
or, (b) setting AUDIO SETUP in MAIN
MENU.
EQ Setting
While listening to popular music, classic
music, or rock music, you can select the pre-
set modes to adjust the sound quality by
pressing EQ button on the unit or the remote..
Repeatedly pressing

CLAS
ROCK
FLAT
